WE ARE HIRING FOR THE 2025 FARM SEASON!
We're looking to fill 2 full time positions, one for somebody with some farming experience, and one for someone who's new to farming but wants to learn. For the second position, previous farming experience isn't required but former physical work experience is preferred. Here are some of the things we're looking for:
Working at Mud Creek Farm will be a great position for folks who think they might want to be a farmer. If you are new to the field, in one season you will gain experience in all the different aspects of a working farm, including seedling propagation, transplanting and field management, the growing requirements for a very wide variety of vegetables, harvesting, CSA distribution, etc.
If you have some experience in the field and would like to improve upon your skills, including but not limited to: crop planning and rotation, tractor and equipment proficiency, and crew management, I'm happy to mentor the right individual in whatever they need to brush up on. I'm also open to incubating side projects for these folks, if there is something you would like to try out but don't have the infrastructure/time/funds to do on your own. Some examples from previous years are raising pigs, Thanksgiving turkeys, and broiler chickens.
If you're interested, please email your resume, a letter of interest, and 3 references to ruth@mudcreekfarm.com, and I will be in touch!
Thanks - Farmer Ruth
